It’s the day of departure and we headed into town to do some final shopping and collect the aryari to pay departure taxes. We meet Raymond Botoubé, then Camille and Stéphanie.
We go to Choco-pain to take the bread supply and return to the boat. One last formality with the APMF and we are ready to cast off. We take a last souvenir photo with the Madagascan Navy of Sainte Marie whom we would like to thank in particular, as well as Camille and Stéphanie who supported us throughout our stay. Since our arrival they have all been absolutely remarkable and the time of departure is a bit difficult. All the people we met helped us almost every day to solve the small daily problems. We say goodbye to everyone. The moment is moving as we have forged links with the Malagasy in a few days.
We weigh anchor and are ready to go to sea.
